The Smart City solution at the Barcelona-El Prat Airport also involves baggage handling that provides monitoring support for SATE, the airport’s automated luggage transport system.
The Automated Luggage Transport System (SATE), includes both the hardware and software to manage luggage movement, delivery and incident warning.
By connecting SATE to Wonderware, the Barcelona-El Prat Airport
has one of the lowest lost-luggage rates in Europe.
The entire SATE-Wonderware solution that make up the Baggage Control and
Handling system at the Barcelona-El Prat Airport includes the control
of 6000 motors and about 20 kilometers of conveyors.
