The Smart City solution at Carson City uses virtual machines for increased reliability and disaster recovery. System Platform is installed on virtual machines under the VMWare vshpere system. The local control stations use hardened fanless box PCs as local Intouch HMI nodes. Communications are then over wireless infrastructure.
