China has undergone so much change in the last 10 years. It's ultra modern high speed train line is proof of that.

 

Stations can be deployed in as little as one day

The nationwide high-speed railway network required quick implementation, effective integration with third-party components and a user-friendly operator interface. 



 

The company had to quickly duplicate systems, processes and functions implemented at major passenger stations for smaller stations throughout the rail network.

  

A problem-free growth path was imperative for the planned expansion of the 12,000- kilometer rail network with more than 800 stations.

 

The Chinese Ministry of Railways value scalability

The Chinese Ministry of Railways knew that selecting a partner that could provide the technology to benefit the project over the long haul was critical. In fact, they selected Wonderware because of its ability to scale. They know that with Wonderware System Platform, the ministry could scale the enterprise solution, beginning with the Beijing Olympic line and extending it in stages to the entire nationwide high-speed rail network.

China's High Speed Rail - Operating in Harmony

Before the China Ministry of Railways developed the plan that began with the high speed rail lines, its Passenger Information System was far from being integrated. Components were purchased from different manufacturers and did not operate well together. As a result, stations and terminals were not linked efficiently, creating inefficiencies in deployment, operations and maintenance.

China Rail: Integrating 60 third party products

 

The Wonderware System Platform solution implemented by Easyway for the China Ministry of Railways revolves around  what they call the Passenger Information System. It basically is a large scale, multi-site Facilities Management System that takes care of all the high speed line's train stations accross China. This involves a number of highly important  functions:

1. Communications equipment monitoring, including the public address system
2. Passenger and train information screens, displays and signage
3. Automated ticket sales booths
4. Closed circuit television monitors
5. Safety systems.
